Canon: Digimon Tamers
Canon Point: Post-series, also taking Message in a Packet drama CD and Runaway Digimon Express as canon.
Age: Unknown - give or take, based on the flashback when Li first picked Terriermon in his Digimon PC game, his chronological age might be around a couple of months to 1 year old at best. Mentally, since his default form is within the Child stage, he acts closer to a 6-8 years old human. For most part.
History:
Once not so long ago, a little boy named Jianliang Li received a US version of a Digimon PC game from his father Janryu Li when Li senior had visited the US for a business trip. And so, Jianliang immediately installs and plays the game his father gave to him.

Personality:
- Calm but robust
- Ready 2 fite
- Honest to a fault
- Ready to throw shades
- Genuinely sweet though to the point that he opts to lie for once instead of making the people around him worried
- Really does put aside his own beliefs and choices for them
- Which makes him a bit of all talk and no bite, though normally he's not much talk and just bites really hard
- Very few things actually shake him
- HE LOVES JIAN SO MUCH BUT HE'S A DIGIMON YO HE NEEDS TO FIGHT
- seems to be aware of the concepts of like how there's always an end to things and generally accepts it when it happens naturally, but is visibly upset on the idea that his partner might throw him wayside (ep11)
- being part of the vaccine attribute there's likely parts of him that is subconsciously holds a strong sense of justice, supported by his image song (i wanna fight to save my partner)
- also his image song, it implies more how much he's aware there's a limit of things but that doesn't change his feelings on the matter (zutto tomodachi da yo ne) also applies pretty well to his duet song with jian boku no tomodachi where the two sings along the lines that they'll always be friends even if their time together is up
- also really really cares for shaochung and pretty much at her beck and call
- he's very protective of the ones he loves
- doesn't understand complex feelings (i.e the conversation with janryu) or human like constructs like family, though he tries to learn it
- overall he still has pretty simple pleasures, nap time, drinking refreshing juice and playing with his friends
- galgomon is an example where he overts some of his core personalities (FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO PROTECT AND LOVES FIGHTING)
- loses a little of this edge as rapidmon and saintgalgomon, but there's still his penchant to be overkill in battle, which the root of it does come from terriermon's official encyclopedia profile that basically goes that he has a 180 turn when in battle despite his otherwise calm and chill nature
- in general application to the tamers verse digital world, darwinism is one of the core personalities programmed into the digicore program, thanks to that terriermon believes in survival of the fittest to his very instinct, not just because of his experience in the digital world before meeting jianliang

Digimon, general things like Realized from the Digital World to the Real World, the ability to evolve, matrix evolution with Jianliang, the instinct to fight other digimon, some weird shit the arc digivice can do, option card effects
Terriermon specific things: combat species, vaccine type, blazing fire + petite twister

Why?:
He’s a plush-size dogbunny, it’d be hilarious if he’s a God.
Okay but serious answer is because while in the Digimon expanded universe puts the Terriermon species potentially having either Vaccine or Data as their attribute, this Terriermon is loosely confirmed to be Vaccine from the d-Ark ver 1.5 virtual pets - as well as the 15th Anniversary version where the toys's stats and data matches further with the anime's canon. Having Vaccine as his attribute generally puts him under the equivalent of ‘holy’ or ‘good’ in the Digimon lore, to the point that Terriermon would potentially be categorized as a Virus Buster. In addition to that, if going strictly by Tamer’s canon, this Terriermon is able to Matrix Evolution into SaintGalgomon means he has come in contact with his human partner Jianliang Li which, while ‘blasphemy’ in the eyes of the Four Holy Beast of the Digital World, can be chalked up as the ‘purest form’ of evolution. This is because Digimon’s original purpose and growth are based on the bond the creatures have with humans and the Matrix Evolution is the ultimate result of the deep bond. On a different end of the perspective however, he was granted the ability to evolve into SaintGalgomon in the Real World thanks to the Four Holy Beasts transferring extra data to the main three Tamers’ d-ark. Subsequently, this transfer immediately is put into the Tamers’ partners, which includes Terriermon.
Whether it’s the humans or the Four Holy Beast -who are considered the new gods of the Digital World- he’s been affected by both that he reaches to Ultimate, something that’s beyond the impossible to do in the Tamers’ version of the Digital World.
So the gist of it is I feel that his stats and later experience supports him to be a God, since while his evolutions are locked, the data to access them still resides in him. He’s been touched by Gods of every category.

God Type: destructive god, though will occasional help out those in need
Power:
- Shapeshifting; nothing that lets him change his appearance to his liking, but just giving him the ability to have a humanized avatar to switch if he needs to interact with humans in The Near Shore. The form however does slightly change depending what evolution stage he's in. Since at best he'll only have access to change into Galgomon or regress back to Gummymon, here are designs for each form: Gummymon, Terriermon, Galgomon
- If Erlang Shen : the ability to seek the truth via temporary mind read or placing a truth curse on people for a super short period of time, at the cost that he say anything but false information for awhile.
- If Jizo - Protective force field
